Countryside Standard Poodles is located in the small rural farming community of Manchester, Michigan approximately 25 minutes S.W. of Ann Arbor . Our country home is located on 44 acres with plenty of room for poodles to bounce and play. We are a small breeder of top quality standard poodles. Our goal is to breed the best not the biggest, and we do NOT breed or condone “doodling” of any type. Our breeding program is structured with this goal and much more in mind. We plan our breeding carefully with dams and sires who complement each other in beauty and intelligence, but who also have been clear of genetic problems. Our pedigrees are those of championship and Westminster lineage and are known for their stable, wonderful, and outstanding temperaments. Breeding standard poodles is an honor and a privilege. It is our passion not our business, that we make family members. With that in mind: when visiting our puppy nursery you will find that our pups are raised in our home by our entire family. With my many life experiences of being a Vet Tech /ICU RN/Professional Groomer our pups are raised with nothing but love and professional handling. The pups are handled several times per day by various family members and children; not to mention with frequent visits from our feline friends. Grooming introduction to professional grooming equipment is started at an early age which imprints a positive image of their lifelong journey as a poodle.
Breeding quality is a must and this drive goes back to our 20+ years of experience in raising and showing of Birman cats. Although we are choosing to not actively show standard poodles, we will only strive to produce puppies that are bred to excel in the show ring, as well as the therapy and performance venues. It is important to us that our puppies make loving family members that anyone can be proud of. We have many wonderful standard poodle breeders to thank and give credit to that understand our goals and choices to not actively show, and who have taken us under their wing and continue to guide us and help us to maintain the years of hard work they have strived for in their health and conformation of this wonderful breed. Without them we couldn’t have produced the top pedigrees we have to offer today. We are very proud of our puppies and their new owners that are excelling in therapy to those in need, as well as those in the show rings.
